Today I found a nice article on Rob Caron's blog[^] linking to David C. Bost's article[^] giving a 26 page walk through on installing the December CTP of Microsoft Team Foundation Server[^] using Virtual PC[^] and SQL Server 2005 beta 2[^]. (btw, what's proper blog etiquette for linking to something that you found through someone elses blog?). It's going to be a while before I have time to try installing Team Foundation Server again, but this article seems like it will be a good guide in doing so.

Tuesday of this week I attended a local MSDN event host by our DCC Mike Bankovich[^]. Overall, the event was pretty good. The time spent covering Team Foundation Server was great. A lot of what Mike covered I saw at the Vegas MSDN event last November, but he also had some new things I had not seen before. The Pub Club afterward was great. I was able to meet some new people and got hear some very interesting stories and viewpoints on .Net in general and some of the upcoming releases from Microsoft. Thanks Mike for making the trip to Des Moines and giving a great presentation.

Today the IADNUG[^] released a press release talking about some free websites we will be building for area non-profit organizations. I believe some local newspapers are planning on picking up the story, so exposure for the group should be outstanding. The plan is to provide select central Iowa non-profit organizations with a free Dot Net Nuke website. Overall, I think the idea is great, and will be a great way for the IADNUG[^] users to give back to the central Iowa community. Go to the site, http://www.iadnug.org[^] to get more information.
