I was doing some research tonight when I stumbled on something kinda interesting. This article[^] by Scott Mitchell talks about various uses for HTTP Handlers and how you could implement new handlers within your ASP.Net application. I was skimming over it when I saw a section talking about syntax highlighting, and it looked a lot like the output I was able to create using squishySyntaxHighlighter[^] by squishyWARE that I blogged about last month.
At the time, I hand not considered creating a new handler within .Text to do the highlighting for me. Now that I think about it though, it totally makes sense. If only I had VS 2k3 installed on this box. I guess it will have to wait.
Moving on...
I'm sure Tim[^] is happy to see that the Enterprise Library[^] has been released. I've just downloaded the install, and will be taking a look at it tonight.
Next on the list of info to share, I found this “.Net Celebrity Auction” on eBay[^] today. This is a really interesting way to raise money for those in need.
